Les paysages nouveaux, éloignés ou non, sont pour moi des lieux de récolte d’objets organiques, précieux par leur forme ou leur texture singulière. Mon travail s’apparente à une quête d’agilité qui tente de saisir l’instant où l’objet se transforme, puis revêt une identité nouvelle, tout en conservant la mémoire de son essence première.

New landscapes, whether distant or near, are for me places of harvest for organic objects made precious by their shape or singular texture. My work is a quest for agility that aims to capture the object in transformation, the moment where it takes on a new identity, while preserving the memory of its initial essence.

RESIDENCY

COMPANHIA DAS CULTURAS, CASTRO MARIM, PORTUGAL, OCTOBER 2019

Agile. a eu le privilège d’être reçu par Eglantina Monteiro pour une résidence de recherche et création à Companhia das Culturas. Un lieu splendide où les objets, le mobilier et les oeuvres choisis sont disposés avec soin par cette anthropologue, commissaire et designer.

C’est l’âme de cet établissement, en harmonie avec ses écosystèmes riches et variés dont le Barrocal, la Marisma (marais) et les Dunes qui m’a incitée à venir ici pour y trouver de petits objets, pièces organiques et textures singulières qui seront au cœur de la prochaine collection.

Ces fragments seront moulés et sculptés pour en faire des bijoux qui portent en eux un récit, une mémoire de leur origine.

Agile had the honor of being invited by Eglantina Monteiro for a creation residency at Companhia das Culturas, an exceptional place where every object, piece of furniture and artwork has been carefully selected and placed with intention by Eglantina, a respected anthropologist, curator and designer.

The spirit of this space, in harmony with the rich and varied ecosystems of the Barrocal, the Marisma (marsh) and Dunes, are what drew me to this place in search of small objects, organic pieces and singular textures that will be the foundation of the next agile collection.

These fragments will be molded and sculpted through the creation of new jewelry pieces, which carry with them an imprint, a memory of their origin.
